Deep Dental Cleaning in Argüelles, Madrid

A deep dental cleaning goes beyond a conventional prophylaxis, removing tartar that has built up below the gums to treat and prevent periodontal disease.

Deep dental cleaning: more than a conventional cleaning

A deep dental cleaning or subgingival scaling is a therapeutic procedure for patients with early or moderate periodontitis. Unlike a standard cleaning, it acts in the periodontal pockets, removing the tartar that has accumulated below the gum line.

When is a deep cleaning needed?

  • Frequent bleeding of the gums
  • Reddened or inflamed gums
  • Periodontal pockets deeper than 4 mm
  • Subgingival tartar visible on radiographs
