Tooth Extractions in Argüelles, Madrid

Tooth extraction is always our last option. When it is not possible to save the tooth, we perform the extraction with an atraumatic technique to preserve the bone and soft tissues for future rehabilitation.

Tooth extraction: when there is no other option

At Debod Dental Clinic, our philosophy is to preserve natural teeth whenever possible. Tooth extraction is the last option when the tooth cannot be saved by root canal treatment, fillings or other conservative alternatives.

When is extraction recommended?

  • Very extensive decay that destroys most of the tooth crown
  • Vertical root fracture
  • Advanced periodontitis with severe mobility
  • A tooth with no possibility of restoration
  • Preparation for orthodontics (when there is severe crowding)

Atraumatic technique

We use an atraumatic extraction technique that minimises trauma to the bone and soft tissues. This is especially important when an implant is planned, since preserving the socket makes the later surgery easier.

Extraction with socket preservation

When a later implant is planned, we carry out socket preservation: we fill the socket with biomaterial to prevent bone resorption and prepare the ground for the implant.

Tooth replacement options

After extraction, we always present the replacement options:

  • Dental implant: The most durable and natural solution.
  • Fixed dental bridge: An alternative without surgery.
  • Removable partial denture: For complex cases.
